Mr. Marstiller has a rich heritage as a lawyer and a West Virginian. His father James A Marstiller Esq. was a lawyer, co-founder and vice chairman of the board of the largest Savings and Loan in West Virginia- The Mountain State Federal Savings and Loan, as well as founder of the Marstiller Siegrist and White law firm which is still in existence today.
One of Mr. Marstiller's law partners was Speaker of the West Virginia legislature as well as Chairman of the West Virginia Democratic Party for 23 years. Another of Mr. Marstiller's law partners wrote the West Virginia University fight song-- "It's West Virginia". Mr. Marstiller's grandfather was also the Sheriff of Randolph County for many years. Mr. Marstiller, like his son, was a good athlete representing West Virginia in golf in the West Virginia Seniors and partnering with a Davis Cup member to win many tennis tournaments throughout Virginia and West Virginia. Mr. Marstiller's Uncle Calmer P. Marstiller was also a delegate to the West Virginia legislature for 28 years, representing the West Virginia county in which Mr. Marstiller was born and raised.
Mr. Marstiller is very proud of this heritage and his West Virginia roots!
